It was great this week to welcome the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, to Stoke-on-Trent’s mass vaccination centre. Joined by the 3 Stoke-on-Trent MPs plus the brilliant MPFT and Stoke-on-Trent City Council teams behind pulling the centre together, the PM’s visit was a real morale boost.
The site, which is owned by the City Council and part of the Ceramic Valley Enterprise Zone, was pulled together quickly at the start of the year and has the capacity to vaccinate thousands of people every week.
As well as visiting the mass vaccination centre, the Prime Minister also visited a local school in the city to talk to pupils and staff. You can read further coverage of the visit here in the Sentinel, and also here on the Signal One website.
