This week I got a look behind the scenes at Stoke-on-Trent’s newest hotel, the 4* Hilton Garden Inn, that is currently being built in the city centre. This project started last year and this week marked the ‘topping out’, so it was great fun to go on the roof of the building and then walk back down to see progress to date - you can see many of the photos in this Sentinel article here and on the Signal One website here. There was also coverage in Business Insider here.
But some even more positive news about Hilton today, as it has been revealed that the Moat House Hotel at Festival Park, will also shortly become a Hilton brand - meaning that we will have two of this icon brand in the city shortly. I spoke to Radio Stoke about what this means for Stoke-on-Trent - clip below, after first some local history of the Moat House from the superb Fred Hughes.
